Kala Cotton sourced directly from the weaver community in Kutch is used to handcraft each pair of the pleated trousers. The blazer is inspired by the 80’s and comes with shoulder pads, offering a silhouette that is both sophisticated and modern. The thoughtfully designed crop cut, which falls just short of the hip, accentuates the smallest part of the waist and creates the illusion of height. This versatile piece fits the bill for both street casual and business chic. It pairs perfectly well with Kala Cotton high-waist pleated trousers. Alternatively, it can be styled with the Batik Silk Halterneck dress or Batik Silk Shorts created by the same designer, beautifully juxtaposing fabrics and textures.

Kala cotton is an old world cotton, native to the arid districts of Kachchh in Gujarat. The hardy indigenous cotton is not genetically modified, and grows naturally without irrigation, chemical fertilisers or pesticides, is then handspun and handwoven making it an almost carbon neutral fabric.
